Nevada Zinc is planning on becoming a Nevada-based producer of zinc sulfate. We are currently conducting a multiphase pilot plant program on the potential commercial production of zinc sulfate monohydrate (See our press release "Nevada Zinc Commences a Multiphase Pilot Plant Program to Produce Zinc Sulfate"
March 9, 2021).
Zinc is an essential nutrient to all plants. Certain crops, however, require more zinc than the others and have the highest yield and economic response to zinc.
Increasing consumer preference for ‘healthy foods’ bolster demand for specialty crops category and biofortified food rich in zinc.
Dairy and beef cattle, hogs, chicken, turkey, and other farm animals require several minerals for optimal growth and reproduction including zinc.
Zinc provides essential activities for the health of the soil. It is a key driver of germination and root development, essential nutrient for growth hormone production and synthesis of nucleic acids and enzyme activity.
It aids in the formation of chlorophyll, affects the uptake and use of water, and influences the rate of seed and stalk maturation in plans.
Our Made-in-America zinc sulfate product would be produced from naturally occurring zinc carbonate-oxide mineralization from our site in Central Nevada, USA.
We will be planning on pursuing Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) certification for our zinc sulfate products.
